Queso is an upcharge along with sour cream and guacamole? The queso might have been water it was so thin? Too small of plastic containers...RIP off.

I eat here all the time, and I am never disappointed. I love the asada, the fresh ingredients, the fruit bowls and churros. Affordable, filling, fresh, authentic.

This place is as authentic as its going to get for Mexican food. This is coming from a person who’s not only Mexican but also originally from California and have been to millions of restaurants in LA and Orange County area. Honestly full of flavor and price is reasonable. I have been to all places in Kearney and gibbon area and this is my #1 choice.

Had great expectations based on the reviews, but we found it so-so. The taco ordered was missed...but also not charged for ..and my burrito bowl had no beans, which wasn't discovered immediately. Did appreciate the bar with extra sauces, cilantro and lime and the quesadilla was very good. Atmosphere lacking. Personally, I think Chipotle's burrito bowl is better, but it was fun to try a new, non-franchise place! Worth a try if in the area. Maybe your experience will be better!

Best Mexican Food in Nebraska

One of my must-haves when I'm in Kearney. Loved it when I was at UNK, and I'll continue to go even though I don't live in the area anymore.

Very poor customer service. Ordered two burritos one smothered, one Serrano pepper and two jalapeños. Only brought one jalapeño and we told them we needed the other jalapeño and Serrano and she didn’t went back. We waited 15 minutes before going to the counter and asking about them and they never even had them on the grill and then proceeded to laugh at us. Family and friends will never eat there again very disrespectful and unprofessional.

Salsas were well made and delicious. Tacos listed on menu came with lettuce and sour cream though none present on the pastor. Pastor flavor was ok, but pineapple was absent. Burrito carnitas meat was cubed and tasted as if seasoned after cooking. Horchata was fair.

I always stop in for lunch or dinner when passing through Kearney! Love this place!!!! The smothered burrito is hard to beat. Tacos are top notch and Esquites (corn cup) is must have.

I ordered Doordash from this place for the first time and I found a long hair in my food. It was IN the food so I know it wasn't mine and it definitely wasn't that of the delivery driver. I took a video of myself picking the hair out of the food. Too bad I can't post it along with this review. I was turned off by this place and will probably not go here again.

This is amazing Mexican food. The tacos can’t be beat anywhere else in Kearney! The lengua and carnitas tacos are my favorite!

Delicious food, large portions, friendly atmosphere every time I've gone (which is often). Definitely one of Kearney's best Mexican food restaurants. I'm partial to the nachos, but haven't heard a bad review from my fellow diners who've chosen something else.

The pork tacos were excellent. It was a very hot day and their AC was having a hard time keeping up. The staff here is very friendly and they replaced my Tacos when there was a problem with the salsa.

This place was really good! Small space kept very clean with fast and friendly service! The beans and rice are just as my mother in law from Mexico would make them! The food was great! Asada tacos were great tasting and the portions were plenty for anyone! We got a torta, tacos, quesdilla, and beans and rice! All were great tasting! Well definitely come back here again!

I'm not from the area, so happening across Komal as I was passing through town was a treat. The food was fast, fresh and pretty fantastic. The salsa bar was a nice bonus as well. You can tell that there's a lot of care put into the authenticity of the food, and in that regard this place receives high marks!I do have to say that the interior of the restaurant could use a little sprucing up, though. I came through on a bright sunny day, but inside it felt dark and dingey... Some better lighting, a few new chairs, maybe add a window?The building wasn't originally intended to be a restaurant, and you can tell, so I can't knock it too much.Here's the take away... Great food, just alright atmospherics... Fine for a quick lunch, but not the place you'd want to linger at with a date.

They need to replace all these other wannabe "mexican" joints with more Komals... Best place to get authentic Mexican cuisine in Kearney, fast service, fair prices, quality food.

Very good food! The price adds up quickly though so be careful not to order too many "small/side" entrees. Also, they have a good bar full of sauces and condiments, major plus!!

I ordered a cheese quesadilla, that's it, just cheese. They messed it up twice and made me pay for all of them even though that isn't what I ordered.

Been going here for a long time and have been very happy. Good food and great service, but 4 of the last 7 visits have wrong . Sorry Komal , we had a good run , take care.

Bad tamales. Had them in plastic and when we opened them they were so wet and soggy and just falling apart. Their food is usually really good but I was really disappointed this time.
